Hi to me,myself and the blog. Somehow i think i'm just lazy to blog.Cos each day as i collect my thoughts and turn it into a burning desire to type it all down here but just on the other hand, i dun really feel like doing so.


Tmr my last day of OT attachment and so i guess i'm just starting to relax alrdy.c'mon man, the weekends are coming!!

Monday
I had my Hs 3033 retest and the mcq is damn tricky.The saq is unexpectedly easy but not tat easy cos i din memorise it.So i'm just praying tat i would pass.Well, i guess i have to thank my baby camel for being there for me.He got mc for his shoulder pain and even drive me to sch and later to my attachment.


So attachment is only 2 and the half hr for me cos i was late haha.I was really like a lost sheep when i reached there.Din noe the pin numb for the changing room aka toliet and when eventually i manage to get in, i couldnt decide wat should i wear or even how i should wear it. Thanks to EN jeanette for teachin me and guiding me.Did i mention she actually very cute?hahha

I and shafiq linger abt the recovery area.At the recovery area, basically we received patients that comes out straight from the operating theatre.We monitor them every 5 mins for half an hr den after which every 15 min.Some den go back to the wards while some send to be discharged.


Tuesday

Shafiq got the opportunity to do scrubbing and assist in a case today.But i just stand by and watch.=x


I'm attached to the reception area.Jeanette was wif me too and another senior staff nurse.Tat SSN was rather nice and patient.What i learned was that there are 2 types of cases one is the day surgery where patients get discharged home or the day admission where they get disharged to the ward.Did the preop checklist and basic nursing care.

Oh and i was so so surprise by the renonvation of the staff canteen.It has become so grand and expensive as well.In fact i dun think it a staff canteen anymore.I had rice with fish and some ladies fingers and guess wat it cost me a dear $4 bucks.I also had the soup of the day which is carrot soup and its $2 and note tat cos i'm a student nurse i get 20% discount.


Wednesday


Today i got the opportunity to do scrubbing and assist in the same similiar case as what shafiq did yesterday.And boy it was terrible.Firstly i admit i dunno my work, secondly the staff nurse expect too much frm a newbie like me and thirdly she isnt very nice you know.It was like so malu-ing(embarrassment)..


How i so envy shafiq, he had the nice SSN.Beside the whole procedure was so unexpected and confusing.haiz =(((



I'm so conffuusee!


Okay shall not go into the details of what really happen.But anyway, i dun like her insensitive attitude and guess wat in the end the "male sister" have to teach me and shafiq abt instruments and how to handle them.Whatever.
Whatever it is she definately did not make my first scrub experience pleasurable.



So traumatising eh!!=((


So after tat traumatisin exp, i went straight back to recovery area to bury my face..?=(
Partially cos i'm assign there la.Chitra and the other malay SSN were rather nice also.She really take the effort to orientate me and answer my every stupid quest.=D


LUNCH: Shafiq and i made an attempt to get something from houseman but guess wat it so packed.So we went back to tat staff canteen and this time i had fried rice wif chicken wing and guess wat it another nice $4..argggghhh.


TODAY!

Was almost late but i think baby more later for work den me.Sorry?=x
Hm, i tot for once i could get tat SSN.Guess wat!! They switch theatres.><
Tat SSN went to Ot1 and i was suppose to do another case but it got cancelled.So i'm back wif tat insensitive nurse and just as much i dislike her i dun think she likes me either cos u see she dun bother guiding me.=x

Shafiq was in the same theatre as me cos he doing AU.Yep, glad i got his company.Cos the cases for today can get rather long and boring.


LUNCH: I had duck rice at the Kopitiam!It is not bad!hah

Evaluation: I guess i panic easily and get nervous easily so tend not to do things well at all.=/
But i guess i just need practice and one week isnt enough.Next week is A&E.=)

Sometimes, i apologise for my insensitiveness, my stupidity (sometimes i just dun think at all) and of cos my immatureness.Well, you are older and wiser and i shall depend on you to guide me.hahha.


Being wif u for one month has been great so far.Learn alot abt responsibilty and being sensitive and also being a little kinder to pple.You have a great heart, baby camel.Keep it going.All in all, i love you baby!=D
